One of my 'go-to' looks lately has been all white. It feels fresh, and put together without too much effort. (besides keeping myself clean with 2 kids lol). And seriously, this skirt is on SUPER SALE and I love it! It can be worn casually with sandals or dressed up with heels. Such a good purchase for end of summer!

One of Seth's really good friends from Kamp came over to our house and we went out Downtown to get some hamburgers and fries at Jakes! It was so nice to get out of the house for a night and to not be eating pizza, pb&j's, Chick-fil-a, or Chipotle. (I never thought I would say that about Chick-fil-a!) lol But you know your sick of fast food when nothing is sounding good! We finally have our sink working in our kitchen so I should be able to get to cooking pretty soon! 

This weekend we are going to try to NAIL out some projects!! Our friends Cole & Ellie came this week and helped and hang out, our friends Anna & Kyle come today and are going to help, and Seth's parents will be here this weekend to also help us finish up! We have the best family and friends!!

Here's what we wanna get done:

-Finish painting the pantry and shelves.

-Finish all the cabinet doors: cock, sand, prime, paint, add hardware/hinges, and hang (eekkkkk)

-Finish the baseboards. We have a few more to put in the hallway and then the whole kitchen.

-Clean the bathrooms! We are going to be retiling and refinishing the tub in the kids/guest bathroom next week and so I want to get them semi-organized and cleaned/ready.

-AND if we are up to it and in GOOD moods, lol, we are going to wall paper our office wall!

It's going to be a busy weekend but Seth and I are both ready to GET IT DONE. It is going to feel so good to finish!

STATEMENT CLUTCH

As I was putting up pictures of this post I thought I would give you a short recap of how my "no shop April" went! Let me first say.. it was hard. 

Every time I would get an "SALE" email online or walk into TJ Maxx or Target.. I would have to mentally tell myself I had a commitment to keep to. It's HARD when you have the "liketoknowit" email coming at you every time you double tap a cute photo too! And I think the hardest things to pass up are things under $30. You can always justify a cute top or sandals for $24.99 or $16.99. Those are hard to pass up deals!

I will confess I slipped up toward the end of the month too. It was only like one more week and I saw these adorable $28 earrings. (SEE! UNDER $30 ITEMS GET ME!) I justified them because I was somewhere I don't frequently go and I felt really guilty about buying them as I walked out of the store. Once I had got home, I had made up my mind to take them back the next day but when I looked at the receipt it was no returns/ exchange ONLY within 7 days. NO LIE. So I kept them, and only wore them after the month was over. I still wish I wouldn't of bought them though!

The best part about it was it felt freeing. I wasn't online browsing as much, or when I did go into a store, I knew I couldn't buy anything so I looked without eagle eyes and just enjoyed myself more. It's freeing not trying to make sure your spending your "spending money" on just the RIGHT item. I can do that to myself SO often, when I have a little spending money, I can take forever to pick out what I think is just the "perfect" item for my closet.

I think overall it's given me some refocusing on spending and a great reminder that I already have a ton of really great clothes in my closet that I love. I'm really glad I did "no shop April" and really would like to make smaller spending budgets for the rest of the summer and continue to do "spending fasts!"

One of my favorite dresses. Hands down. I bought this last year when I was pregnant with Louie and love the easy flow about it and the bell sleeves. It's perfect. I love the one I linked above that is super similar and had to talk myself out of buying it too! 

(Also- this dress was perfect before I put it on for the pictures and don't know how a quick car ride got SUCH a wrinkle in it! It's driving me nuts in the pictures so disregard that! lol )

Which leads me to:

True Life: I don't iron. I hate ironing. I have never ironed in the almost 5 years we have been married and we don't even have an ironing board. My mother-in-law saved my life by telling my husband about wrinkle release spray and every night before bed Seth sprays his khakis with it and lets them dry out over night so they are wrinkle free in the morning! lol I'm so glad I don't have to iron!!! 

On the other hand-

I hope everyone is having a great week! Seth and I are going over plans for the summer and I'm really excited about it! The "summer" seems like such a long time, a good 2 months, but when we map out everything we are planning to do, it seems like we can't fit everything in! How does that always happen?! You think your going to relax and go to the pool EVERYDAY and then your mega busy! Well, either way, I'm excited to have my husband around for a while coming up soon. It's going to be amazing seeing him everyday and having him wake up the kids every morning. Nothing beats that.
