BEST SPRING JEAN SHORTS - MY FAVORITE PICKS

Hey everyone! I've been a little MIA these past two weeks as we have been visiting family and friends! If you follow me on Insta, then you know I went to KC for a little while to visit my family! I also had one of my best friends weddings, and then my husband and I went to Branson for a few days as he taught at a Gap year program called Link Year. We had a blast. I love getting to be home and it was so nice being around family and friends we hadn't seen in awhile! 

But.. on to the fashion stuff :) ....

One of my favorite past times, when my mom can watch my kids lol, is going store to store and trying on anything that catches my eye! This is my birthday month so I had some specific things I had in mind, but also just wanted to enjoy my time out and about trying on spring items!

I knew I wanted a pair of jean shorts on my hunt and so I ended up trying on a bunch of pairs. It is no lie that last year I wore my Levis like 5 X a WEEK. See post here, here, here, here and here. :) This post will be about my top 7 that I tried on and what I loved and didn't love. (I'll do another post on my favorite spring finds later this week or early next week but I wanted to give you my feedback for shorts first and maybe you will find your perfect pair too!)

#1 : TOPSHOP ASHLEY RIPPED BOYFRIEND SHORTS

I REALLY loved these when I first put them on, which is funny because I'm pretty sure I ordered them last year and didn't love them. Lol I am typically a 0/2, and Topshop has funny sizes, so these are a Topshop 6 for reference. They are a little bit more of high rise and have a really great inseam length. They are a relaxed fit without being baggy and I really love them for tee shirts and running around with kids. I did end up buying these, just making sure they aren't too similar to something I already own. 

#2: LEVI'S 501 DENIM SHORTS

I was SUPER loyal last year so I wanted to give these a try. Overall, love them, just already pretty much have them! ha This was sized up only 1 size and last year I sized up 2 sizes. 

#3: LEVIS 501 LONG DENIM SHORTS

I wanted to give these Levi cuffed hem ones a shot. They fit pretty good (this is up one size) and the rolled legs could be adjusted to the desired length. Looking at my I Phone pic, I actually like them a lot better in the picture than I did in person. Overall, personal preference, I think I like the look of cutoffs more right now. 

#4: Pilcro Mid-Rise White Denim Shorts

These were a cute white short and again you could adjust them to the desired length. I was wearing my TTS and I might have liked them better one size up. Overall, again, I like the cut off look better on me and think the 5" is too long for my 5'2" frame. If you are taller, these might be a great fit! 

#5: GAP MID RISE 5" DENIM SHORTS

If you want a super casual wash, a relaxed fit, and a GREAT PRICE, then these are the jeans for you! Gap always has sales, so you can score these babies for 30-40%. Also, if you like longer jean shorts or cutoffs aren't your thing... these are your shorts. These were a little too long for me but I do think these are the best buy for your money this season if you like this style! 

#6: LEVI'S 501 DENIM SHORTS

OK people. These are the ones I kept. Are we shocked? I knew I wanted a super light wash denim this season and a cutoff. These are my exact same style from last year, only I sized up one size this year instead of 2 sizes. I love these shorts. You can wear them day in and day out! I'm obsessed. They didn't have my size in store so I had to order online. Also - I just love the pockets of Levi shorts! 

#7: AGOLDE JADEN HIGH RISE

I have seen so many people rave about these shorts and I couldn't wait to try them. I ordered them in my TTS, and maybe I should have sized up one? Overall, my biggest pet peeve about them is the legs. They seem to have a little flare on each side of the leg and I don't personally like that. For the money, these were not worth it to me.
