When I was in Kansas City a few weeks ago, I went shopping for a few hours by myself. I tried on SO many things because I LOVE trying on clothes. It was so fun to try on spring styles and trends and then narrow it down to my favorites! I also had ordered a few things on my birthday wishlist that I had to choose between! Oh, the life of a budget! March is my Birthday month so I'll tell you all what I bought and what I decided to keep! (All items are linked in the photos under each store breakdown!)
First Up: Nordstrom
You guys know me.. anything pink and I am 100% in. Wish I needed these but already have pink pumps from last year! Love these though!
I'm kind of obsessed with wrap dresses right now and have been trying on any that I see. This one didn't personally do anything for me but I loved the print and the sleeves!
As always, Free People is gorgeous, pricy, and sometimes just a little too short! I am 5'2" and this was super short on me! But.. I'm also a mom.
I loved this little gingham embroidered dress! I seriously thought about buying this but decided to spend my money elsewhere! It is one I would love to buy later this summer! It would be cute with sandals to wedges.
Ok.... If you are a bride to be... this is SO CUTE!! Perfect for a shower or a party! I LOVED IT but I have NOWHERE to wear this. Also, if you see the picture below it has an open back and I don't always do great with open backs because I don't wear them as much. But this was so cute! Pretty eyelet detailing and a scalloped hem!
For how simple this was, I really liked it! But then again, I don't always dress simple so I passed! It created a really cute shape though.
I loved these gold glitter mules! Passed on shoes but these are on my wish list for who knows what! :)
Loved all of Baublebar's new statement earrings for the season!
OK. These shoes are hands down SO worth it! I have gotten so many compliments on them. They are so comfortable and go from jeans, jean shorts, to cute summer dresses! Also, I did buy this dress at Nordstrom on my trip. The picture does NOT do it justice but it is so pretty! The eyelet is super flouncy!
Ok, I love this wrap dress. I also bought this when I was in store but forgot to take a picture I guess because I loved it so much. Ha The only hesitation I have about keeping it is the long sleeves! It gets so hot in Texas so I keep debating this as a good purchase!
Did I mention I love wrap dresses? HA I bought this one after I realized the other one might be too hot. What do you guys think? Which one do you like better on me?!
Next UP: TARGET
These little slides are SO cute with the peral embelishements. I bought them and am debating how much I will wear them because I just got the other brown ones. What do you guys think!? Worth it?
I don't wear blazers but if I did, I would buy this. Also, if you are a working girl.. this is SO cute!!
I posted this top on Insta and everyone LOVED IT! It's inexpensive, easy to wear, and CUTE! Win.
FOREVER 21
I tried on a few things here but the line to check out was literally wrapped around the store to China that I didn't buy anything and now I regret it because things are sold out online. This wrap skirt was super cute but too short. It would be a really cute swim cover up for me!
Yes. Now you see why I regret it. These shorts were only 14.99 and I didn't get them. I made a mistake. LOL I might go see if they are in store! Linked up similar ones!
J CREW
My mom and sister surprised me with these for my Birthday. #obsessed
Such a gorgeous lace skirt! I wish I had somewhere to wear this. I love getting pieces like this for church but I feel like I already have so many dressy pieces for Sunday, and really wanted more causal cute pieces.
Bought this plain v-neck tee in white and black. If you are bustier, it might not work for you but I always love good tees! (TopShop shorts linked)
ANTHROPOLOGIE
I mainly stayed at the sale rack at Anthro and loved this cute jacket, but WHY do we never want to buy winter things on sale? It's too tough. I want to wear things when I buy them so I passed.
Again, if I worked, I would love this. So flattering and fun!
This is SO on my wishlist. I love this little clutch! Would be so cute for weddings and parites!
REVOLVE
These are few birthday wishlist items I had ordered offline but I sent them all back. I really liked them but want to shoot for more casual everyday pieces. Still thought you might like to see! Loved this pink jacket but honestly felt like it was more "berry" than HOT PINK.
This Tularosa skirt was SO fun but again too short for every day. If I didn't have a budget, this would have been a keep for date night!
Here is the matching top but I wasn't thrilled about it.
A wrap dress. I know. This was too slinky for every day as it was in a satiny fabric but would have been cute for date night or if we were going to a party or something. Someone needs to invite me to more parties! LOL
OK people. This is the dress I LOVED. It was so hard to send this baby back but it was just too pricey for me not having a reason to keep it! I am saving for this or eyeing it if it goes on sale!
SWIMSUITS
OMG. So badly wanted to keep this, but it's just not practical right now!! We don't have a beach trip planned so I'd be wearing this in our kiddy pool in our backyard LOL but I love this and would love to save up for it! It's beautiful.
I am still only on a high waisted and one piece kick post kids (thank you Lord these are in style currently) and thought this was cute! I went to Dillards to try on their Gianni Bini line but they didn't have any in store yet so I thought this was cute.
Aerie: Great prices. Warning: You are going to show off your buns! LOL This was the only suit I tried on there that I felt okay in. It was really cute but not what I had in mind at all for this year but wanted to share!
If you want to see my jean short post about all the jean shorts I tried on click HERE. I found some favs this season and hope you find some favorites too!
Do ya'll like these kinds of posts? You can comment on here, insta, or my blog! I would love to hear!
