Room number two on my room by room blog posts is Haddie girl's room. Her room is still a work in progress LOL as I feel like she has more kitchen items, books, puzzles, crayons and things to find places for but she DOES love her room and so that makes me happy. She also is now in a big girl bed, so once I get that all how I like it, then I will do an updated post on sharing that too, but for now you get the crib!
First, there are the before photos. Similar to Louie's room, Haddie's was mainly all paint and baseboards. We painted ceilings, moldings, trims, closet doors, walls. And we also switched a light fixture from another room into her room as it was perfect for my girly Princess.
I painted her room Sherwin Williams "Demure".
OMGsh she looks so little!! And this was only last year! (And she still carry's that pink cup, her "shake", everywhere! ...and of course Hop Hop.)
Seth and his dad then added all the baseboards after we had finished painting the walls, just like Louie's room. We used the same composite baseboards instead of wood as it was SO much more cost effective and from the eye, you cannot tell any difference. They came primed but we had to paint them our same Valspar trim paint color.
Baseboards make such a big difference to me! These are the 5''.
Got her new light fixture up!
Seth and I had wallpapered Haddie's nursery in our old home before she was born, and I had chose this gold floral wallpaper. I LOVE it and still do but didn't want to spend that much money again to buy it for another wall. I had a few strips left and so I decided to make two panels on her walls and then to frame them out with wall moulding. The wall mouldings were a little harder than we thought but the hubs pulled through after "a few" wrong cuts here and there. Ha
Now we know what we are doing (kind of LOL) but the first time we did this we were not smiling! haha
Before Seth trimmed them out with the white moulding.
Now all the afters thus far!
Getting in her jewelry box that she keeps on her high shelf so Louie can't get it!
Also, behind her door we have a hook where we hang all her Princess dresses and purses.

I love that Haddie loves her room! I really love how the wallpaper panels turned out, as it was much more cost effective yet still gives me a touch of her old nursery that I loved! And her crown. Her crown was the first thing I knew I was buying when I found out it was a girl. I built her first nursery around it! (See a pic at the bottom of the post).
One of my favorite things we have in her room for organization is her Target 9 cube bookshelf. She keeps doll house things in a basket, play dough and "electronics" in a basket, and crowns and random things in another. It really helps us keep things organized yet super accessible for her and she enjoys when it is clean just as much as I do.
The other thing she LOVES and still plays with daily is her pink kitchen and her table and chairs. This girl loves those pieces. She got the kitchen for her 1st birthday and the table and chairs for her 2nd and they are her absolute favorite things. She cooks for me every day. Makes me shakes and teas all day long, and cupcakes and cookies before bed. I hope she loves to cook this much in real life because I dread it every day! LOL
My biggest thing I would love to get for her room still is a large 8X10 area rug. I have had a few in my "shopping cart" numerous times and then usually something comes up and I don't get it but it is still on my wishlist! The ones I "LOVE" are always out of budget so I'm still on the hunt for the perfect one in my price point. Maybe after I finalize her bedding for her big girl bed, it will help decide which way to go!
Well, lastly, the only thing Haddie would change is that the walls would be hot pink instead of light pink but I told her we had to compromise. Ha
Hope you enjoy it!
xo, Ash
Look at the little girl!! Cutest thing ever.
Throwing it back to a few months ago when Chandler came and took some photos of our house as I love seeing the changes we made in the year we have lived in our home! I'm continuing the next room BEFORE/AFTER post with the living room/office area…
