My mother made me do a closet clean out of my old room when I was home in KC last week. I wasn't upset that I had to do it, but I also wasn't really in the mood to just go through a bunch of old cards, scrapbooks, books, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and some tubs. I mean, if I haven't needed it in this long, I most likely am NOT going to want it now, but then again, you NEVER KNOW so I would never let my mom throw anything away in there. ha

I actually feel like I am a "throw away" person. My husband is a "keeper" person. I keep his BEST notes. He keeps my sticky notes. I throw away all of Haddie's "art" thus far. He keeps his work out t-shirts from college. 

But.. something about the things in that closet were hard to get rid of! My mom was giving me the hardest time about certain T-shirts, cheer sweatshirts, and old jewelry. SOMETHING might come back in! And I don't want to store it at MY house, but I was trying to convince her that THAT closet was a perfect spot to keep some of my things! :)))

My best finds:

-old shell and hemp necklace.

-all of scrapbooks from Jr High to college.

-lunch notes from my mom all through Jr high and high school.

-a box of love notes from Seth while we were dating/engaged. He is seriously the best and most lovie guy ever.

-$200 cash in our wedding cards!!!!! HECK YES.

-a plaid skirt, the sherpa collared coat (pictured above), and a leather jacket my auntie made me when I was in grade school.

So, sometimes it pays to clean out all your crap! I found this gem of a jacket and some cash that allowed me to shop in KC! (See previous post to see what I got!)

One of my 'go-to' looks lately has been all white. It feels fresh, and put together without too much effort. (besides keeping myself clean with 2 kids lol). And seriously, this skirt is on SUPER SALE and I love it! It can be worn casually with sandals or dressed up with heels. Such a good purchase for end of summer!

This top looks amazing with white. White jeans, white shorts, white skirt... easy. But I was trying to find out what else I could wear with it and as I was scanning my shorts I saw a little bit of light blue in the flowers on the ones I choose. I wasn't quite sure about the stripe print with the floral print at first, but the stripes were so subtle that I ended up loving it! I hope you guys do too.

So for being MIA the last few days.. if you follow me on insta, you know we have been MOVING. And not only moving, but doing lots of paint on paint on paint at our new house. Oh my word. My right hand keeps cramping up from holding a paint brush. lols. Anyway, I am in straight up TASK MODE because Seth and I's parents have both been here to help and I am taking advantage of all their amazing help this past weekend and week with the house and the babies! There is so much to do, but I know that when it's all done I am going to look back and miss the process and miss my family!! 

I will have to do a post once we are done with all of our projects! I am so thankful to my parents and my in-laws though right now because they are working their booty's off to make our new house a home!

So I sold a couple things on PoshMark and decided to splurge on this dress I had been eyeing! I LOVE IT! Not only is embroidery EVERYWHERE this season (See my top 20 dress picks below!) but I love the bright neon flowers on this off the shoulder dress. It's easy, lightweight, and has pockets... so pretty much perfect! Seth and I are going to go on a date later on this week to celebrate our 5 year and I'm planning on wearing this and can't wait.
